4 feet high by 5 feet wide.
Mixed media painting utilizing straw, dried grasses, cardboard, wood, acrylic matte medium and aluminum on panel.
I grew up on a farm near Three Hills in Alberta, Canada. My dad owned part of one of the three hills that are depicted in the background of this piece. In the early 1950’s they had a bumper crop. The straw was so heavy it was overwhelming the equipment. This piece is loosely based on an old photo I found in a box.

A luscious, sensuous fish with beautiful big lips and a bottle of red wine.
The background includes a collage of wine bottle labels. The table bottle and glasses are painted plexiglas.
The piece stands a couple of inches off the wall and the table legs are quite fragile. One leg broke while exhibited and was repaired by the artist himself.
